Since 1930 the stables have been owned by the Messner family. In 2002 the stables were renovated and now specialises in the breeding and riding of Icelandic horses.There are now over 30 horses living in 2 stable buildings each with 12 stalls and on the meadow. A paddock and enough room to run around is also on hand. The riding stables has two riding corrals, an indoor riding ring and a 250m long riding course.
