Playful learning is on the agenda on a family holiday at the Forsthofgut. In the Art Studio wood workshop, the children work together with the carers and get to know a wide variety of materials, while in the Art Studio "Painting according to Arno Stern", little artists can give free rein to their ideas. In the waldSPA Family & Kids, a swimming instructor practises safe swimming and diving with the little mermaids and jams, lavender sachets and more are conjured up in the Rocky's Club.
Education and entertainment, learning and fun - that's our edutainment philosophy at the Forsthofgut. Learning should be so much fun that children can't get enough of it, even when they're on holiday: That's why we combine knowledge transfer with entertainment, let the children try out new things for themselves and thus increase our young guests' thirst for knowledge and motivation to learn.
Our Art Studio is located on the first floor of the Forsthofgut Stables. In this lovingly and naturally designed creative space you will find our Art Studio wood workshop and our Art Studio "Painting by Arno Stern". Here we are inspired by nature and encourage creativity and dexterity.
The Art Studio wood workshop magically attracts creative minds and resourceful inventors from the age of 4. Here, children can tinker, experiment, screw, hammer or paint together with trained carers. Not only are ingenuity and dexterity trained, but children also learn exciting things about the surrounding nature through play.
Equipped with paints, brushes and bright colours, the talented young artists from the age of 2 take their turn in the 'Painting after Arno Stern' art studio. On large sheets of paper they create truly unique works of art. At the end of the day, you can wrap them up and take them home to decorate your own home!

Art Studio Workshops
From the age of 6, you can discover the creative world of Art Studio workshops with our two-day clay, basket and crochet workshops, for example! Here you can playfully learn how to create fantastic clay figures, paint your own baskets and conjure up beautiful crocheted works of art. Fun, creativity and unforgettable memories are waiting to be made!
Nature is the focus of the diverse childcare programme from the age of two at the Forsthofgut, as it is in the entire hotel. Together with our attentive caregivers, the children set out to discover nature, become detectives on a scavenger hunt around the Forsthofgut, learn how to prepare healthy snacks and lemonade, and learn how to plant and care for herbs.

In the water world at waldSPA Family & Kids, there are regular opportunities to learn how to handle water safely. A certified swimming instructor practices the different swimming styles with our youngest guests and shows them how to dive and jump safely from the edge of the pool. You can book these courses at the reception desk for an extra charge.
