A time-out at our Thomaalm cabin

This quaint, feel-good spot is located in a secluded side valley near the Spielbergalmen and offers a variety of flora and fauna for nature lovers. The path to the Thomanalm is perfect for a family outing or a leisurely hike. In addition, it is the ideal starting point for further tours to the surrounding peaks, such as the Spielberghorn. Together with our hiking guide Claus, we offer guided hikes to the Thomanalm starting in the summer. In addition, the cabin can be booked as an event location.

Leogang lifts

With the Leoganger lifts, you will float effortlessly to the top: The Asitzbahn is only 200 meters away from the Naturhotel Forsthofgut, and the Steinbergbahn is also within easy walking distance. Both lifts are open daily in summer up to and including November. With your Saalfelden-Leogang Card, one ascent and descent with the Asitzbahn is free of charge: The ideal start for the versatile hiking tours high above Leogang. We recommend visiting the Senses Experience Park, the Games Hiking Trail, and the Nature Cinema. The perfect program for the whole family!

Eat well at rustic alpine cabins

One of the best things to do on a hiking day is definitely to stop off at one of the alpine cabins in the Saalfelden Leogang region: the cabins and their original cuisine have always been an integral part of the Pinzgau tradition. And this is best celebrated by tasting your way through the delicious dishes: What a reward after the ascent! The Schmuck family recommends the Almwuzerl at the Lindlalm, the homemade Almkäse at the Sinnlehenalm (a family-friendly hike), and the Brettljause at the Steinalm.
