Grown out of a former forestry business, we feel a very special responsibility for the environment in our nature hotel. We want to strengthen this even more with the riding stable: For us, riding is a unique connection between man and nature. We want to awaken the joy of riding and offer a very special experience. From guided tours of the stables to creative workshops, from campfire evenings to romantic carriage rides, extraordinary experiences await families and nature lovers.

NEW: HORSE RIDING CAMP

Whether you are a beginner, an experienced rider or an experienced horse expert: at the Forsthofgut, young riders from the age of six can be part of our new horse riding camp and being officially graded with a gold, silver or bronze badge. There is a separate camp programme with five units each. Those who successfully complete the riding exercises receive a certificate and badge.

Riding stable

The indoor riding arena at the riding has a size of 20x40 meters. In addition to the boxes used by the hotel's own horses, further boxes will be available for guests and their horses. In addition, the Forsthofgut also offers horseback riding, which is completed by special riding experiences.

Indoor & outdoor riding arena

The Forsthofgut riding stables and the outdoor riding arena invite you to walk, trot and gallop with a generous 20 x 40 metres. Here, our Haflingers, Fjord horses and riding ponies are allowed to exercise their riding experience together with our guests and learn very special equestrian tricks.

Nature paradise

Surrounded by lush green meadows, blooming flowers, and warm, crisp air – this is how our horses enjoy their summer paradise. At our stables, they live in perfect harmony with free access to the paddock, plenty of space to roam whenever they please, and an abundance of fresh hay.

RIDING LOUNGE

This meeting place is very popular with riding enthusiasts: The riding lounge is inspired by British country style and is wonderfully cosy with soft lounge chairs from Home Interior and selected highquality materials. The open fireplace creates a really cosy atmosphere in the riding lounge – and so it is possible to simply relax in the lounge next to the riding stable, philosophise deeply about your favourite sport and your favourite animals or read a good book while the fire crackles peacefully.

Our little guests (up to 8 years old) can discover the world of ponies every week by grooming and petting them. The perfect opportunity to build a special bond with our four-legged friends.

COLOURFUL PONY BIRTHDAY

According to this motto, the little ones can organise their birthday at the Forsthofgut. Colourful and full of joy, ponies are groomed and plaits are braided. A pony walk together rounds off the perfect experience.

Horse riding also has a positive impact on the mental state and health. For passionate riders, a holiday with your own horse is possible at the Forsthofgut: Your four-legged darling is guaranteed to feel at home in our spacious guest horse boxes. The boxes are equipped with the following, so that your horse can also fully enjoy its holiday:

MOMENTS OF HAPPINESS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

In addition to a riding offer with special experiences, there will also be a new expanded offer for children & youth. We want to give creativity even more freedom and are moving the nature workshop and the painting studio from the hotel to the upper floor of the riding stables. Young people will also find a new challenge on the second floor: a varied indoor obstacle course with time measurement. In the spacious play area on the upper floor of the riding stables, young and old alike will find plenty of space for special moments of happiness.

Good to know

From what age is riding allowed?

For our youngest children, riding is allowed from the age of 2 years accompanied by their parents. For the older rascals, riding lessons are possible from the age of 6 (without parents).

What do I need to bring along?

Perfect equipment is also part of a perfect riding experience. Therefore, we ask all riding enthusiasts to come with sturdy shoes and long trousers. We recommend that you bring your own equipment (if available). For personal protection, wearing a helmet while riding is compulsory. Helmet and waistcoat can be rented on-site.

Which animals are moving into the enclosure?

In addition to our horses, we are also home to numerous four-legged friends at the Reithof. Alpacas, dwarf sheep, rabbits, a donkey and much more await young and old to cuddle all year round.

Do riding courses require booking in advance?

In order to fulfil your riding happiness, we recommend that you book your desired units in advance. We kindly ask you to arrive at the riding stables 15 minutes before your lesson.

Who prepares the horses for the lesson?

The horses are saddled and prepared for the lesson by the riding instructors as well as by the guests (depending on their knowledge). Our riding instructors are on hand to provide support.
