Horses are our passion

Creating meaningful experiences that enrich your time at Forsthofgut is one of our greatest motivations. Our riding stables are an important part of that. Together with our horses, our experienced riding instructors share their enthusiasm for riding and create special moments for beginners and confident riders alike.

Sunny - Shetland Pony

I’m a jet-black Shetland pony with a white star on my forehead – just like a little night sky. At 105 cm tall, I’m the perfect companion for pony walks, always calm with a hint of curiosity.

Heidi - Shetland Pony

I’m a chestnut Shetland pony and, at just 80 cm, the smallest in the team. I bring a cheerful touch to every pony walk with my ever-smiling teeth.

Karl - Shetland Pony

With my shaggy mane, I always look like I’ve just come back from an adventure. I’m a 90 cm tall chestnut Shetland pony – and I absolutely love our walks together. There’s never a dull moment with me around!

Stingray – Haflinger Gelding

I’m still young and slowly finding my way in the riding world. With my 150 cm of Haflinger energy, I’m growing into my role – ready for relaxed hacks and focused private lessons.

Melody – Haflinger

Kind, calm and incredibly intuitive – that’s me. As a therapy horse, I have a special feel for how my riders are doing. Whether it’s a quiet ride or a lesson in the arena, I’m here to support with a gentle heart.

Saphir - Haflinger

Hello, my name is Saphir and I am a chestnut Haflinger with a height of 150 cm. I'm also called the "little rascal" because I'm always full of mischief. What are my unique skills? I take good care of my little "passengers" and I'm really excited to meet them all soon.

Pumukel - riding pony

As a white grey horse I stand out among the riding ponies. What am I particularly good at? I love to gallop across the meadows and splash around in the water.

Madonna - Haflinger

A real beauty, I love the camera. With my relaxed nature, I am the calm centre of the group. What I’m particularly good at? My smooth, gentle trot gives my riders the feeling of almost floating.

Windsor – Haflinger Gelding

I am a Tyrolean Haflinger and the gentle giant of the stables. With my calm and friendly nature, I quickly put both riders and visitors at ease. Together with Anderl, I pull the carriage in winter and join our other horses on rides and walks.

Anderl – Haflinger

I am a South Tyrolean Haflinger with a refined look and an eager, willing nature. Together with my larger friend Windsor, I pull the carriage in winter. I also enjoy joining our guests on rides and walks.

Phoebe - Haflinger

With my 155cm I hold the record in the stables. In addition, my calm and detached nature makes me stand out. What am I particularly good at? I am still quite fit for my age and am already looking forward to the many riding lessons.

Terry - Fjord

Among the Haflingers, I brighten up the group as Fjord. I am relaxed and unafraid and go through thick and thin with my passengers. What am I particularly good at? With my appearance and my two-coloured mane I make hearts melt.

Ibolya - Riding pony

As birthday horse I am the future party companion for our little guests. As a lady horse, I am particularly proud of my distinctive coat colour and markings. My weakness, however, is treats. I would even do a trick or two for them.
