Regional producers

Natural. Hearty. Aromatic.

Head chef Wolfgang Oberschachner is personally convinced of the best regional quality offered by the suppliers in and around Leogang as well as biological and ecological oriented agriculture.

Happy hens - the origin of our breakfast eggs

Every single hen at the Enn family's BIO-farm can run around outside all year round. The hens can enjoy a sand bath and still lay their eggs in straw nests. The animals are fed organically and the feed is guaranteed GMO-free. Anyone who eats organic eggs is not only doing something good for the hens, but also for themselves. That's because these organic eggs show no signs of antibiotic residues in them. 20,000 organic eggs are processed every year at the Forsthofgut.

Savoury cheese made from organic dairy milk

The aromatic mountain cheese from Johann Scheiber is hardly out of the ripening chamber before it is sold. The delicious flavour has made him famous. The Scheiber family produces a range of various organic cheeses from around 30,000 litres of milk. For those who will not shy away from a little hike, they can actually purchase the cheese directly from the dairy in the Sinnlehen meadow along the way. It really is a special experience!
You can also enjoy these organic cheeses made from dairy milk with us. For example, Amadeus cheese, wild garlic cheese, Alpine rose cheese and pepper cheese

Native organic vegetables from the Stechaubauer organic farm

The special thing about the Stechaubauer farm in Lenzing will become clear to visitors as soon as they get there. In addition to the round 50 cows and the pigs and chickens which you will see cavorting around the farm and in the barns, your eyes will without doubt fall immediately on the two large greenhouses and a large rolling vegetable field. This is where we get our regional and seasonal organic products, which then become highlights on our menu. Come and enjoy these deliciously fresh specialities.

Alpine butter from Tödlinggut

Tödlinggut farm is actually two cultivated pastures - the Tödling-alm (Grießener pastures) and the Seealm. 22 cows and their calves graze on the pastures in summer. In winter the cattle and the sheep on this organic farm are fed with the hay from over 20 hectares of meadows. At the farm, butter and cheese is produced directly from the dairy milk from the cows.
Enjoy the Alpine butter, organic sour cream, organic mountain cheese, organic Tilsiter, Seezzarella and Forest Baron with us.

Mountain trout - LEOGANG

Toni Grundner is is the proud leaseholder of 8 t stolzer Pächter von acht fish ponds in Schwarzbachgraben in Leogang and he is a passionate fish breeder. Every hour around 72,000 litres of mountain spring water flow through his pools and provide the fish with valuable nutrients. That's why his fish are of an especially high quality. The Forsthofgut handles 500 kg of char and approximately 1,500 kg of salmon trout, brook trout and rainbow trout.

Fortified pleasures - spirits from the Herzog family

An excellent distillate must reflect the nature and distinctive flavour of each individual fruit. Only with specially selected best raw materials can the Herzog family reach this goal, as the quality of their spirits is determined by the quality of the fruit. We certainly appreciate the excellent flavour that distinguishes the spirits from the Herzog family.
Enjoy a variety of schnapps such as plum, nut, pine and Saalfeld whiskey here with us.

Natural milk. MEI MUICH. - LEOGANG

Berhnhard Perwein's jointly managed farm is located at the entrance of the Leogang valley. He delivers fresh, natural mil from the region directly to his customers. As a result of the merger of the formerly independent companies Ottingbauer and Zieferbauer, the cows profit from a spacious and comfortable stall. They say "Thank you" with milk of the highest quality which is important for our health.

Natural mountain honey - LEOGANG

Rainer Martin, passionate beekeeper, has 70 bee colonies. Each colony is made up of 60,000 bis 70,000 bees.
Every busy insect produces around one tablespoon of honey in his lifetiem. One more reason to be thankful for this natural treasure. Rainer Martin makes apporximately 700 kg of this delicious honey at two locations: one is in the Schwarleotal, the other in the Schwarzbachtal. On top of his beekeeping he also breeds organic cattle.
