For us, there is no better way to get to know a country than through its cuisine. That is why all the favourites from Austria's gourmet history are served at the restaurant 1617. You will find local venison loin on the menu as well as freshly caught salt-crusted arctic char, delicious Salzburger Nockerl or classics like beef tartare - always tailored to the respective season. At the restaurant 1617, we do not just want to serve classic/typical dishes, we also reflect on traditional service: the dishes are skilfully filleted and carved directly at the table. The highest quality of service and a lively exchange about origin and ways of preparation are just as much a part of the culinary experience as the porcelain and silver cutlery, which are reminiscent of grandmother's kitchen.
