There is a separate children's farm with a petting zoo in the hotel, so our little guests can be close to nature. We invite you to the lovingly maintained forest playground for romping, jumping, and playing.Â
We value nature as our most precious asset. That's why the Forsthofgut in Austria also has its own children's farm, built in the style of original Pinzgau farms. The miniGUT with its petting zoo was designed so children can get to know local animals without hesitation and learn about nature playfully.
Perky Shetland ponies, sheep with cuddly soft fur, nimble bunnies, pigs, goats, and chickens: they all warmly welcome our guests to the miniGUT children's farm at the Forsthofgut and are love it when kids visit them. Between petting and marveling, children can even help feed and care for them. In the process, they learn exciting things about the miniGUT inhabitants.
At the forest playground, even the grown-ups become children again. No wonder! After all, with a little climbing, you can conquer the tree house here and peer into the distance from above. Next to it, there are tree trunks to test your balance, a speedy slide, and even a few hidden forest animals.
This autumn, our forest playground in the miniGUT will shine in new splendor. Three different swings, a new see-saw, climbing walls, and other wooden elements make the miniGUT a favorite place for little explorers to play and romp to their heart's content.
A new extraordinary feature for the whole family at the Forsthofgut: A stable with an indoor and outdoor riding arena. Riding experiences for young and old and much more await you together with the hotel's horses. In Austria, we say: All the happiness on earth can be found on the back of a horse.Â

One, two, three – who can jump the highest? The trampolines at the large forest playground are made for jumping competitions. Moms and dads won't miss out on that either: It's great fun for the whole family!
Ten years ago, Christina and Christoph Schmuck fulfilled a long-held wish: a hotel game enclosure. Since then, majestic deer and roe deer have made their home on three hectares of forest and meadow land. Hotel director Christoph Schmuck personally takes care of feeding the wild animals – and once a week guests are even allowed to accompany him.
