TRAIL RUNNING

Trail running is running away from crowded training routes, on varied trails, and above all: with a panoramic view. The Saalfelden-Leogang region is the ideal terrain for this sport and offers 21 well-thought-out routes for beginners, experts, and professionals.

The Schmuck family's personal tip for beginners is the "Ederbauern-Runde": It takes about 35 minutes to master 6.9 kilometers and 202 meters of altitude difference, starting at the Naturhotel. For experienced runners, the "Endless Flow Trail" is the right choice: a slightly undulating, 10-kilometre-long high-altitude trail that starts directly at the Asitz mountain station.

Whether you are heading for the highest mountains in the world or the peaks around Leogang, the base camp becomes an important starting point in any case. This is also true at the Forsthofgut – here, our "base camp" offers enough space for your personal equipment in winter as well as in summer.
