For many years, the Schmuck family has been supporting charitable causes in their home region of Pinzgau, either privately or with the help of the team and guests at the Naturhotel Forsthofgut. Equal rights and opportunities for all: Driven by this concept, Christina and Christoph Schmuck have founded the Forsthofgut Stiftung.

Our mission

Equal rights and opportunities for all: Driven by this thought, Christina and Christoph Schmuck founded the Forsthofgut Stiftung. With their Naturhotel Forsthofgut, the family has been firmly rooted in Leogang for over 400 years. That is why the Forsthofgut Stiftung works primarily in the region. The Forsthofgut Stiftung wants to provide hope to families and children in difficult life situations, strengthen health awareness, and help in the preservation of nature. In doing so, the foundation supports individual strength and creates opportunities to overcome hardships: In this way, the Forsthofgut Stiftung is giving new chances.

Art for good

At the Forsthofgut we want to give space to art and pass on the joy of culture. We also want to give something back to the region. During the opening of the riding stable on 22.10.2022 a work of art was made directly on site by artist Christian Vukomanovic and auctioned in favor of the Forsthofgut Foundation.

The artwork "Noia Infinita" is divided into 3 parts and the left part was auctioned for 4.500 €. The whole amount will go to the Forsthofgut Foundation and the Schmuck family will use it again for projects in the region.
The other two parts remain at the Forsthofgut and can be seen directly in the Forsthofgut Riding Stables from now on.

Ski Pass Donations for Mountain Rescue

Small contributions turned into something big: Thanks to the return of numerous ski passes last winter, we were able to raise an impressive sum of €6,000. With great pleasure, we presented this donation to the Leogang Mountain Rescue – a meaningful symbol of our deep connection to the region and its people.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our guests who, through their support, have helped to enhance safety and provide vital assistance in the mountains.

Red Noses Donation

After the magical Christmas and New Year season, we are delighted to be able to hand over €10,000 this year to the district hospital in St. Johann in Tirol. The generous donations of our guests benefit the Red Noses, who, with great passion and dedication, bring color and joy to everyday hospital life.

After all, a good circus – the theme of this year’s New Year’s Eve gala – needs true heroes, and the Red Noses Clowndoctors are indeed the real heroes of laughter, bringing joy and moments of hope into hospital rooms.

A small sacrifice, a big effect!

"Loigom hoit zomm"

It is a personal matter for us to think of others who have not been so lucky and we have decided to donate a large amount to the Forsthofgut Foundation once again this year instead of Christmas presents. Together with the donations from last year's ski tickets and the sale of our Forsthofgut candle, we were able to donate 8,500 euros to "Loigom hoit zomm". This year, in addition to 3 young families in Leogang, the Prielgut residential home can also be supported.

€10,000 for Magdalena and her barrier-free home

At the 2021 Christmas Gala at Forsthofgut a total of €10,000 in donations was collected for Magdalena Hirschbichler and her family: This will be used to finance necessary barrier-free modifications to their home. This campaign was also the start of the newly established Foundtion, the Forsthofgut Stiftung. Through this foundation, various projects will be supported in the future - among others in cooperation with the social association "Loigom hoit zom" or with the hotel's own project waldLIEBE for reforestation. With the launch of the Forsthofgut Foundation, many more projects and actions will follow - we're looking forward to it!

Donations for Ukraine

Due to the war in Ukraine, many children and families are in urgent need of help. After an appeal for donations by the Schmuck family, numerous donations were collected together with Team Forsthofgut - because everyone wants to help. Food, hygiene articles, blankets, cushions, clothes, and much more were transported towards the Ukrainian border to help those affected on site.

Badhaus Leogang Donation Campaign

Since 2012, the Badhaus in Leogang has been a place of gathering for all people who have to cope with difficult life situations. Almost all visitors to the Badhaus have one thing in common: they have some baggage, usually more than many others. The Badhaus is a holistic non-profit center that aims to help those people who are not doing so well.

WINGS FOR LIFE RUN

Doing good together. On Sunday, 08 May 2022 at 13:00 the starting signal was given. Our Forsthofgut team covered a total of 171 km as part of the Wings for Life Run. All money collected and donated will go to spinal cord research. We are very proud of you and say THANK YOU for this commitment and every single step! Another great project within the framework of our Forsthofgut Foundation. You rock!
